Hi y'all, I decided to do a blog post because I have been feeling really sick and gross the past couple days and needed to write. As you know, I had trouble with my roommate. Most of you know her true colors. Others are blinded by their friendship with her and do not see what a manipulative person she is. She took advantage of my generosity and turned it into what she wanted all along. Her own room, and drama. She lives for the center of the spotlight because of her acting background, and being the only child.
Now, enough about her because she is now the most irrelevant person in the history of irrelevant people. I moved into my new room yesterday. I did nearly all of it by myself, minus two trips my loving boyfriend so generously helped me with. No sarcasm. Without him, I would have taken EVEN LONGER to do all of it. Not to mention this nasty weather I had to endure. I am now sick because of it. My room is unpacked, and nearly all of it is in the place I want it to be. Luckily, two of the most important people in my life are coming down to help me get settled even more and organized. Plus, I will have some kick-butt Christmas lights hanging in my room for the aesthetic. Ha.
I am now accepting my true self as total hipster trash. I blog, wear beanies, drink Earl Grey, use Tumblr, listen to Alternative music, and spend my free time with my boyfriend. Oh and don't forget my love for writing and bad memes. Yup. Hipster Trash. But that's okay because I still have good morals and my love for Christ can move mountains.
Now I will update you on my classes. Basically, dropping the two classes was a really great decision because I am focused more on my music. My mental health was increasingly gone each class I went to before I dropped it. Piano Class is going alright. We're working on two octave scales now and I cannot for the life of me get my hands to go together. Can you tell I'm only a violinist?! ha ha. Oh well. With patience and practice I will get them down.
I just looked out the window and this rain is seriously bringing me down. It's been raining for two days straight now. The view from my window is magnificent. I can see the entire campus and beyond for several miles from the 14th floor. Now, if only the rain would go away and give me sunshine this view would be even better.
I had my first recital on Saturday. It went alright. I was nervous but i held it together. Luckily, my violin professor was my accompanist and knew where I was at in the ways of the piece and was able to catch me when I messed up the counting and such.
Well I guess that is it in the way of my life on campus right now. I have rehearsal that I don't want to go to, but then again, when do I ever want to go to a rehearsal where my conductor is pretentious and stops us every five measures the second he detects someone so much as breathing incorrectly. I get he wants us to be better musicians and all that crap but my god he makes it difficult to enjoy rehearsals. They feel more like a chore than anything.

College Life is the Busy Life
Ohhhhhhhh boy. It's been a while hasn't it? Life got really crazy after my last post back in July. Sorry about that! Too much has happened for me to put in this post so I'll just get down to the basics.
Back in July, I was babysitting the girl I told you about. She was wonderful! Such a great girl. I hope to be able to babysit her again next summer too. I prepped for college during that time and August. On July 10th, I met my boyfriend at our college orientation!!! It's crazy to look back and think that a relationship blossomed within that short amount of time. But we both believe God really wanted us to be together, so here we are: almost a month this Friday of dating officially. It's been wonderful!
Now onto the college part of this post. College has been, in one word, stressful. I've never been more stressed in my entire life. I've had too many mental breakdowns than I should have had because it's been so bad. Things weren't going well in my dorm either so THAT didn't help my situation. But never fear, those issues have been sorted out and all is well in my dorm life. I had to drop two courses this semester because I just was not doing well according to the Music School criteria. In all of my classes, I must be getting a C or higher in order to move on to the next class. I wasn't failing in those classes, but I wasn't meeting that C (I was sooooo close) and so my professor recommended that I drop them in order to save my GPA. Which by the way, has to be above a 3.4 I believe in order to remain in the School of Music. Crazy right? That's why I get so upset when people downplay music majors. We have so much more rules and regulations that we have to abide by that it makes life difficult and stressful. I overall, haven't enjoyed my first semester here. It's been tough...
I'm going to keep on trucking though. God has big plans for me and I want to see them through. Whatever they may be.
This is a short post but you all have a gist of what is going on because of my Facebook posts.
God bless,

Advice To My Now Senior Friends
In my recent graduation from High School, I have learned a few things about my self, and Life in general. I want to give it to all of my future senior friends and family members. So here goes!
1. Make New Friends. This one seems all too cliché, however, IT IS IMPORTANT. The friends you make your senior year will be a great support group to help you get through the final year of high school. Adults say that Junior year is the toughest, but it isn't. Senior year is. You have so much prep to do before you graduate, that emotions will be running high and so will your blood pressure. Make. New. Friends.
2. Start applying to colleges. This one can be difficult if you don't know what you want to do. THAT IS OKAY. You do not have to go into college knowing exactly what you want to do. Yes, I was one of the few who did, but that doesn't give me any special brownie points. To save money, why not apply to the Community College? It's cheaper, and I know A TON of people just going to community college. If you find a University you think fits you best, apply! You can go into college "undeclared"; which means you aren't sure what you want to declare as your major, but are still taking classes to get you started on your road to graduation.
3. Protect Your Heart. Now this one might seem ridiculous, given our age, but it is really important. I'll be blunt. I fell in love. I was CRAZY about a boy in my Psychology class. We became friends, and the more I got to know him, the harder I fell. I won't go into detail, but he turned me down. I cried. It absolutely broke my heart. We remained friends, but it still hurts sometimes because I am still so incredibly fascinated by him. It made my final days as a high schooler tough, but I pulled through. I am slowly moving on, and him rejecting me actually was one of the best things. Because I know now that I must protect myself a little better. If it was meant to be between us, it'd have happened. It didn't, and I suffered for a while. Now, since we graduated, we don't talk much. Protect Your Heart.
4. Nothing Lasts Forever. Now, I've told you to make new friends, but I'm also going to remind you that friendships you make in high school, may not last much longer once you graduate. Much to my sadness, I only have about 10 friends that I made in high school that I still talk to. And about half of those are from my old high school (not the one I graduated from). It will sting for a while, but know that it gets easier, and you still have the memories. Plus, college will be where you make the life long friends. I haven't started quite yet, but have already made friends with a few people I will be going to college with. One of them is even the same major as myself.
5. Mental Health Comes First. Classes will be overwhelming if you are trying to get that GPA up and those last few credits to get that diploma. If you are crying while trying to attempt that Math homework because it is just too hard, stop. Stop and go to bed. School is important, but your mental health should be your priority.
6. Prom Is Not The Most Important Thing In Your Life. PLEASE do not let your classmates and society brainwash you into thinking prom is the most important thing in your life. I debated for months about going or not, and I ended up not going because it was really something that I knew I wouldn't enjoy. I talked to friends who went, and they said it was fun, but it wasn't a blast. Plus, wasting several hundred dollars on one night is not necessary. After Prom is where it's at!
Okay so that is all of the things I really important in surviving your last year in high school. Guard your heart, and make memories.
God bless,
Ariana

God Is Within Everyone
Hello again! This blog post is going to be a bit shorter and just really about my thoughts recently.
Have you ever noticed that in time of need people say "Prayers would be appreciated?" or "Thank you for all of your prayers"? I find it amazing that people turn to the lord in time of need. But here is what amazes me: It isn't just those who are religious that pray, it's also those who aren't religious that request prayers or pray themselves. Even in those who unfortunately do not have our God in their hearts, have them in their hearts. Praying is a way of speaking to God. So, if you are not religious, who are you speaking to? Do you honestly believe those prayers that you received actually work? But wait! there is no such thing as God. So how come you suddenly believe the prayers worked? One word. God.
For those who are curious, I pray about lots of little things. I pray about that ambulance I saw rushing by me in hopes of saving that beautiful and precious life it carries. I pray about soon-to-be-mothers and the pain that they are about to endure. I pray simply for patience to get me through the daily tasks that I was given. You see, praying isn't just about YOUR well being, or YOUR family's well being. You also have to pray for strangers. You have to pray for the little things in your life, but BIG things in other's lives. Be selfless. I know I am not a perfect person, and I accept that. But when I sin, and pray to God for forgiveness, I learn my lesson and try not to do it again. No one will ever be the perfect christian or human. It isn't possible. You know why? Because God doesn't want us to be perfect. Not yet anyway. Once we go to our true home in heaven next to Our Savior, then we will truly be perfect for all of eternity. If you sin, then say "oh I am going to do whatever the heck I want because God will forgive me" is taking advantage of God. If you recognize what you did was wrong in his eyes, and pray for forgiveness, and try not to do it again, it will be way easier to get to that point of cleanliness.
well that is all for today!
God bless

College Life Means Busy Life
Wow. I am so sorry I haven't blogged in a few weeks. Life has been hectic lately. Between, work, and college prep, and just trying to keep my life together, i seem to just simply...forgot. However, that is changing.
Now, its time to catch you all up on my recent shenanigans.
First, I went to Macomb to participate in my school orientation! Many people have been asking me how it went, and i give the least positive answer..... "It was lame". I know that that isn't something I say, given my reputation as a happy-go-lucky-upbeat-and-full-of-optimism gal. Which is ironic given my mental state. But I don't feel like getting any pity today so I am not going to discuss what most people already know about me. Anyway, it was. Orientation was lame. My group leaders didn't do any fun activities with me group. It was all business. Get them to a survey, get them through the tour, and get them to scheduling for classes. Just my luck that I would get the most serious leaders. The fun part and probably most awakening event was scheduling my first semester as a WIU Leatherneck. I had a self-realization moment once I finished scheduling. All of my classes were music. Intense music classes. Unlike many other college bound students who pick easier classes to get used to college life, I went full force into my chosen career classes. I do have one Gen Ed class, Health, that I am taking, but other than that, it's all career prep classes. And it made me realize that I'm actually doing it. I'm fulfilling my dream as a musician and chasing my dream as a Music Therapist. Given everything I have been through, it is humbling and satisfying that nothing has stopped me. My heart has been broken too many times to count (dumb boys.....), I've cried myself to sleep more than should have happened, and I've seen lots of disappointment. But all of those things have made me who I am. And I am forever grateful for that.
College will be difficult. I will have mental breakdowns. And I may want to give up, but I am not going to. College is the time for me to fine-tune myself. Figure out who deserves me in their life, and who doesn't. I will figure out my limits and I will figure out where I stand in the world. Hopefully, I will someday soon be the "Music lady with blue hair who is helping me get better".
We shall see. keep checking back for more updates!
God bless,
Ariana

College Is Drawing Near, and Panic Is Setting In
Oh boy. Here we go. College is drawing near and I still have many things to do before starting my life as a new person, and creating a new life for myself. I can't believe how fast time has gone. Have you ever been in the middle of doing something so mundane, and just coming to the self-realization that you are growing old? You've seen things, done things, and just lived through it all? Our lives are filled with many regrets, but it's also filled with many happy times too! That's how I've been feeling lately. Nostalgic if you will. I'm scared for the future, because I have no clue as to what it holds. I know that God has a plan for me, and I know I need to just let go and give all my worries to him, but its difficult because at the same time, he made me the way I am. Anxious, and worry-fillled Ariana who is trying so hard.
With college starting soon, that also means that I have an audition for the School Of Music to determine which ensemble would fit me best. There is the WIU Chamber Orchestra, and the WIU Symphonic Orchestra. I know I will be placed in the Chamber Orchestra, but I can't help but try and go for the symphonic orchestra. How cool would that be? Anyway, the reason for my worry is because the pieces I was given- mega hard. One excerpt is entirely on one string. That is something I have never done before. I'm terrified. And it doesn't help that my Private Lessons Coach is taking the entire month of July off. So I'm on my own to tackle this piece because no one near me in my family has experience or any at all in music. Especially at this level of experience that I'm at. So yeah, that is really the only challenge in my life so far.
Now for my babysitting update: Andrea is a wonderful little girl. She cracks me up and is so sassy. I love it. Babysitting her is a breeze. The only challenge I'm having is finding activities to do with her everyday. We just went to Mad Potter about a week ago and painted a mug (hers), and a Dragon (mine). Apparently, they turned out cute! I have yet to go and see them. Her and her grandmother picked them up.
Well that's it for today.
God bless,
Ariana

The Youth Of Today Is Not Ignorant
Hello and Welcome back to my blog! This post is going to be a little more morbid in a way, but eye- opening (hopefully) and about something that has been bugging me since my recent milestones.
So not much has really happened since I last posted, except for me turning 18. No, I don't feel any different, and thank you for welcoming me to "the real world as an adult" for which I have been aware of and apart of since the begging of middle school. I may not have been weighted with the responsibilities of "the real world", but I have been aware of it and how it works and what goes on in "the real world". Just a PSA for you adults: please do not tell a teen "Welcome to adulthood" or "Welcome to the real world" we absolutely know what it is like and face issues everyday pertaining to "The real world". For instance, Depression. Anxiety. Bills we must pay (like gas, or phone, or taxes), stress, etc. The list goes on and on. Age doesn't matter at all. What matters is how much we've been exposed and taught. Our ignorance is smaller than you think. For instance, many teens are the children of divorced parents. That was our first glimpse into "The Real World". We know darn well that love is tough and cruel and that sometimes couples just give up hope on the marriage when it becomes too overwhelming. They march right into the local court and fight over who gets what and why, then they leave in separate cars to their separate homes and live as not one, but two. Two separate people who may or may not find love again. Divorce rates have gone up with each passing year. And we become okay with it. It has become the "norm" in a way. Life happens. Divorce is never not going to happen.
Anyway, Not only are we aware of divorce, but we're also aware of the different expenses it costs to live on your own. You're no longer under the wing of your parents or guardians paying for your every activity. You have to do it. You have to get up and look at which bills to pay, and what job pays well enough for you to live comfortably. You must manage your bank account and separate your money into different categories: Bills, Health, Fun, Necessities, Savings, and Retirement. We know that managing your money is hard. Especially if you attempt to separate it into as many categories as I have stated. But you do it. You do it so you don't end up making a life where you feel you need a vacation from it. You make a life to where you don't get up and regret it because that means you must go to a job where death seems more exciting. You go to a job where it doesn't end up feeling like a job. You end up living your dream, and your paycheck is just an added bonus. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case. Sometimes you have to take a mediocre job just to pay the bills, make your loved ones safe and happy. You just do it. Because that is life and there is an inevitable outcome to life: Death. We will all die. So why not make it a good one? At the same time to living in a life where you may hate your job, or be completely broke, you fill your life with love, and happiness. It doesn't matter your status in society. What matters is how you make the best of crappy situations.
I seem to know more than you think, don't I? I'm a teen and I have been living in the real world. There is no fake world. It's all just ignorance. And most teens certainly are not as ignorant as our elders believe.
I apologize for the length of this post. It's just something that has been on my mind a lot recently. And once I begin writing, there is no stopping until all of my thoughts and emotions are out.
Keep checking back for more updates

I apologize for the length of this post. It's just something that has been on my mind a lot recently. And once I begin writing, there is no stopping until all of my thoughts and emotions are out.
Keep checking back for more updates
God Bless

Week 2 As A Summer Babysitter
Hey again! I'm so glad you decided to read what's going on in my life! I've gotten good feedback so hopefully I can keep this up.
As promised, here is what happened this week!
Firstly, Monday was kinda blah. It had rained a lot so we just kinda hung out. I forget all we did exactly that day, so I apologize. Not much occurred I can tell you that. Tuesday we went to the pool and I brought Lauren along so she could get out of the house hahaha. Wednesday we did projects like homemade silly putty and Lava Lamps! It was fun but so so messy because my hands got dyed blue... Luckily for me, a quarter size amount of dish soap and warm water (prayers too) got it taken care of. Yesterday was my final day babysitting for a week or so while they go down to Kansas City for Worlds Of Fun! The family asked if I'd be willing to go and feed their cats, Quincy (15) and Clovis (17), and their hamster Ozzy while they were away. Given the ages of the cats it's not going to be difficult ;). So yeah. That's been my week. I hope everyone is staying safe and making good choices. It has been wonderful outside. Do something for me:
1) drink lots of water
2) go stand outside for 20 minutes doing some deep breathing
3) read SOMETHING. It can be anything. Just read.
4) stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself " I am strong. I am brave. I am thankful for the sun on my face and wind in my hair"
With that, I leave you with a little "Food for Thought"
When was the last time you really really laughed? Like, tears-rolling-down-your-face-clutching-your-stomach laugh? Share a laugh with someone today. You don't know when the last time they laughed. You could be the one who breaks that.
Check in next week for a new post or two!
God bless.

First Week as a Summer Babysitter Adventures☀️
Hello guys! I'm going to start off with one question. How often do you make people smile? I ask that because making others smile is important. I realized that after one day while I was watching the little girl- for her safety let's call her Andrea (?)- while I was watching Andrea, I noticed she wasn't too excited like she normally is. I asked her what was wrong, and she replied "Oh nothing, I'm just tired from my sleepover" I could believe that. Little girls stay up late and giggle a lot during sleepovers. But this was different. So I decide to cheer her up. I ask her "would you like some ice cream to boost your spirits??" Her face LIT UP. I kid you not I saw that girl's attitude go from sad/tired to happy/her normal self in 2 seconds flat. Now, I can't spend money everytime. But I figured I'd splurge a little. Her brothers were avoiding me (they are now in 8th grade so it's understandable) so I narrowed down what they like and asked them about it. Their faces lit up and they actually kept a conversation with me. Now one of the twins always says hello to me and smiled at me. The other talks to me too but his approach is different from his brother's. I'm lowkey sure that one of them- let's call him Brody- likes me a little. He keeps trying to impress me with his art skills (he is good I will admit) and everytime he saw me. He'd say hi. Just "Hi. :)" it was odd considering he wouldn't so much as look at me two days ago.
So moral of the story: make people smile. It doesn't have to involve money. Just make them smile. Tell a joke, make a fool of yourself, etc. try to make at least one person smile everyday.
I'll post again next week!
God bless.

Welcome!
I had some complications with my other blog so I decided to use Blogger through my gmail account. I still have some Domain issues (when I type in my website URL it says 404 error on Google's page) so, I am hoping I can find a techie to help me! This blog will be about my newest adventure: College. It will also be inspirational, and my thoughts on current events and religious posts. So basically a whole mash of things. Anyway, bare with me as I get all the bugs figured out.
